Run a migration

Start a run for one DITA map from the Maps screen, in one of three modes.

Choose a mode:

  • migrate: applies approved rules only. No model is called.
  • replay: replays a recorded agent session. The tools and checks run for real; only the model's words are fixed.
  • live: the agent calls gemini-3.8-flash for each failing topic.
Note:
Starting a run and approving or rejecting a rule need you to sign in with a Google account that the deployment allows. Everyone else can read every run, report and rule.
  1. Select Maps.
  2. On the map's row, choose a mode.
  3. Select Start run.

    The run is queued. If another run is queued or running, wait for it to finish.

Tip:
One run at a time keeps the deployment inside the Google Cloud free tier. A migrate run takes about two minutes; a run with the agent takes about six.
